Third time up the mountain.

This was some special event, where a group of people climbed the mountain, posting signs on the way up that identify various species of plant. At the top, they planted some new trees to commemorate the last year of Goshoura being it's own town, before it is annexed to Amakusa.

I assure you this man was not aware of the nature of the travesty you are witnessing.

They put this stick in the top of the mountain, and to your left and right, you can see two baby sakura trees that they planted.

The trail going up the mountain, it's really a beautiful hike. About 4.5 kilometers to get to the top.

I think the sun set behind some mountains that you can't see, because it set really high. You can see only a sliver of it in this picture, even though the horizon was a lot lower.
