Pictures taken at Goshoura Junior High School.
Facts: Junior High Schools have the equivalent of 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. Students ages range from around 13 - 15.
At Goshoura Junior High School, there are a total of 68 students and 14 teachers.
I go there on Thursdays and Fridays, and sometimes Mondays.

All of the students and teachers (some teachers not visible) gathered in the gym for a meeting. The students sitting in front are the ones representing the school in the upcomming sports festival.

These are two of the students who choose to study English in their elective period. In the first elective English class, they presented me with this invitation to a tea party.

Not a bad attempt at all... I think I'll go. Those little things before and after "choice B" are Japanese quotation marks.

It was a lot of fun, especially since I got to eat something before lunch. But really, we had a great time, and we listened to Billy Joel and Celine Dion. While at the party, we scheduled a bonus English lesson on the weekend.

More calligraphy.

At first I thought this teacher fell on the stairs, but I soon found out it was just a drill... weird.

Cooking

Some students preparing the day's lunch.

They do it right there in the back of the classroom.

Cleaning

Every day after school (but before after school activities), the students and teachers work together to clean the entire school.
----------------------

Here we see the Vice-principal and another teacher burning weeds or something. Rank doesn't exempt you from doing any chores around here.

Students and the art teacher pulling weeds, and other yard work.

Not sure exactly what these kids are doing.
----------------------

Three kids doing more work. The one in the middle is Ikki, the best English speaking student I have. If I speak slowly, we can actually have a decent conversation. He wants to be an interpreter.
----------------------

Two kids taking a break from washing dishes (notice how happy they look even though they're doing chores).

My desk, and a good majority of the staff room at Goshoura Junior High. This is the exact same desk that I have at the other Junior high school, the BOE, and in my apartment.
